I bought two sugar gliders (male and female) at the home show in October, I am really enjoying them, and can't wait for them to become my most loyal companions, they go most everywhere with me! My only concern at this point is that they will love me as much as I love them!!!

Hi my husband and i were at the home and garden show that was here in La this weekend. I spoke with a gentleman about the sugar gliders. I had come back and wanted to talk to you more and possibly buy a female when they wouldnt let me in they said that the show was closing and they would have to charge me again and that it was really already closed that they were just waiting for the last of the people to leave. Well any way i came home and looked up your web page. After reading the information i feel not just ready for one of my own but would be very interested in being one of your rep.s for the New Orleans area. I have had vast experience with all types of animals and have been in sales and customer service for over 25 yr.s as well as having my own business for several years. I would be really interested in talking to someone about the possiblity. I can be reached at 504-433-1289. At present i have animals. But for the most part they are horses and llamas. I look forward to speaking with someone again. Thankyou

I bought a sugarglider from you in Jacksonville,Fl a month or so ago and am still trying to get him to bond. Hopefully he will come around. We named him stitch because he looks just like stitch in disney's movie. He eats plenty so I think he is pretty healthy just still likes to bite too much. I might try to get another one so he has some company. Thanks for all your help and suggestions. I love the web site, lots of good information and products.

Hello, We bought "Zoey" in July at the Casper, wy fair. Needless to say she is wonderful. She loves our daughter and will do anything to "get to her" when someone else is holding her. My question is this: can I order food and supplies directly from the web site somewhere or do we need to call you with our order and credit card number? sure wish you were closer. We are looking into buying a male, but with the cost of the Glider plus to 100-150.00 to get it to Denver, and then still be 4 hours from home... that is a little hard to justify. Do you plan on being anywhere in Wyoming in the near future? Is there any pet stores that you deal with in Wyoming that could get us one with out so much shipping expense? thanks again Nancie

Glenrock, wy USA - Friday, September 27, 2002 at 06:58:42 (EDT)

Hi Nancie.  For now you will need to call or email.  If you have used a cc with us before, we have it on file and can just tell us to use it again.  That way you can do it by email but not have to give the card number.  Sorry, but the closest we will be to you again is in December in Las Vegas.

We purchased our glider "Sugar Baby" from you at the Sweetwater County fair in Rock Springs, WY this summer. She is a special addition to our family and daily brings us alot of smiles. Thank you for all of your help and for being so reliable. We plan to purchase another from you soon!!!

I purchased a sugar glider at the Canton First Monday Trade Days on Aug.31st. (7 1/2 wks old) He has been such a joy. His official name is "Prince Butter Bean" (say it several times and it will bring a smile to your face), but for short I call him "Beanie". We are bonding with each other real well. I have a pouch I carry him in but some how he manages to end up curled up in my bra,(oops,) guess he thinks thats his mama's pouch. Where ever he wants to curl up is ok with me. I want to thank everyone at Custom Cage Works for bring a bundle of happiness my way. God Bless each of you and keep up the good work.

I had bought a baby sugar glider last year at the October home and garden show and I want to thank you. Later on we ended up getting a mate for my daughter's female and we are proud to say that I will be grandmother and we are very excited. However, I never knew these little furry friends are so much fun and their personalities are so funny they are a joy to watch and they love to attack our cats and watch the them run, its really funny to see. I love how they lick my hands and face they are such little angels. I would also like to complement on the owners that sells the gliders, they are very helpful and very knowledgeable and they answer my questions when I have any and they are very nice. Thank You again Sincerely, Malissa Castle and Tawni Stark Phoenix, Az

My daughter bought a 16 week old male sugarglider after I told her about eeing them at the Home Show in Tampa last week. She named her sugarglider, "Gizmo". She bought all the trimmings, cage, etc. and is now letting Gizmo get used to his surroundings. She is paying alot of attention to him,but giving him time to accept his new home. She even put the cage in the bedroom so when Gizmo woke up and moved around, she talked softly to him so he gets accustomed to her voice. She, also, put in a tee-shirt in his cage to get him accustomed to her scent. I think she will be a good "mom". She lives in the Chicago area and I am in Florida so I won't get to see it until I go up in October. Can't wait. I would love one of my own, but I have a 6 pound dog that loves the Florida lizards and catches them when she can and I'm afraid she would catch ours if we had one.

Hi I urge you to look at the designs of your dog kennels. Some people who are buying those are using them for a cruel breeding area called a puppy mill. I know your best interest is for the animal, but dogs in puppy mills are left in those cages constantly and the wires tear there feet, feces sometimes fall to other cages, because theyre never cleaned, and the dogs are bred every heat cycle. Please check the persons purpose for buying a cage of that design. Thank you. Please all visit the site listed and help out animals in need.

Saw some of your standard cages at the Ft. Worth BirdMart a couple of weeks ago and would like to visit your facility to see what you've got set up and discuss custom size/price alternatives too. I understand you're doing shows most weekends but I'm going to have a hard time making it out on the weekDAYS, because I have to work. Any possibility you've got a non-show weekend coming up in the next month or so. I really like what I've seen so far, but am not in urgent need of a new cage, and can wait awhile if there's a possibility we could coordinate for a weekend visit. The cage is for my 4 adult Iguana's. You can reach us at rjmmello@yahoo.com. Thanks, Rebecca Mandeville

Hi there, Wanted to let you know I received the converted cage for my cockatiel Dewey. He is very happy and SAFE in his beautiful white cage all customized just for him. My sugar babies are big now as I purchased them from you at the Rv and boat show in Denver. I loved "Max" so much I named my boy Max too and Molly is our girl (Aussie names for sure!) They are healthy and happy and I am glad I got two cause we are busy some times. I was wondering, do I really need to keep them with the hot rock now that they are older? The book I bought from you, suggested a nesting box, which I purchased in whicker, hanging high in the cage. Obviously the hot rock has to be on the ground, so what do you suggest about that? I keep their room at 75 degress or a little higher.

We purchased a Sugar Glider at the New Orleans home and garden show and it to was not eating and having seisures. I spoke to Steve and as instructed, we fed "Sugar" a couple drops of honey and with a syringe, fed the mixure of apple juice and water every 1/2 hr - hr. After a couple of days and fattening-up a little, Sugar started eating and drinking on her own. Now I am happy to say she's doing great!!! I did find out she loves peaches. She jumps on peaches like no other food and eats them like crazy. It's a great comfort zone to see her eat so well...

I bought our sugar glider at the Phoenix H&G Show. We like it alot. We have had NO problems with her. Here is what I do for feeding : 1. put 10-12 pieces of glider grub in container with water 2. Cut up slice of apple 3. Cut up 1 - 2 grapes in half 4. Sometimes I add small amount of bannanna (.5 teaspoon) 5. Dump water out of glider grub (that softened it while I was preparing food). 6. Sometimes add a .25 teaspoon of carrot.. 7. Sprinkle everything with VitaGlider 8. Sprinkle Berries and Fruit Put everything in the dish and let her eat whenever. She eats throughout the day and eats some of everything. We bought some furry fabric at wallmart and a small craft purse and she sleeps in that every day. We bought some Branches (No bark, but smooth) from PetSmart they have screws in the end and we put them in the cage. One of them is horizonal and one perpendicular. We bought some long 4 foot fake vine from Michaels craft store and put that it in the cage too. We are probably going to buy a companion sugar glider in 6 months. Thanks ! Coby

I bought a sugar glider from CCW in September of 2001. He is now 8 months old and I am looking for a home for him. I also have a 2 year old son who loves Gixxr (my sugar glider), unfortunately Gixxr does not love him. I am unable to give Gixxr the attention he needs because when I try to hold him Christian wants to hold him and Gixxr won't remain calm with Christian shrieking and crying because he wants to hold him. I end up having to put him back in his cage 2 minutes after I get him out. I want a home for him where he can have the attention he needs. If anyone is interested please email me at aprilstone79@hotmail.com or call me at (817) 726-3446. Thanks, April

I have been intrested in sugar gliders for over a year now but every time I would go into a pet store to hold one they were to wild already to even handle. I was suprised to see your booth and the sugar gliders at the houston home and garden show but never-the-less very impressed. I could tell right away that ya'll have handled them quite a bit. I was so impressed I impulsively bought one right away. I have only had him a couple days, and I am in love. I am so glad I waited to find such great and helpful breaders to buy one from. My only regret is that your store is so far away, can't ya'll move to Houston? Thanks, Amy Darbonne.

Your sugar glider warm cage instructions suggest using Pine bedding. I have read that Pine bedding is toxic to Sugar Gliders. Sugar gliders should have aspen bedding, but the bedding should only be in the drop tray. Sugar gliders should not have immediate access to the bedding. Thank you for taking these comments into consideration when you are instructing owners on the proper care of sugar gliders. This subject is especially close to me: a good friend lost her two gliders because she used pine bedding in the cage (not the drop tray). I hope you change the content of the warm cage instructions so nobody else loses their gliders.

Hi Steve, We purchased our female sugar glider "Dixie" at the home show in Tulsa, OK last month. She has bonded with me and the whole family loves her. I can't believe how tame and loving she is. She loves my hair. I was cleaning house last Saturday, and she wrapped herself around the ponytail in my hair and stayed there all day. Thanks for all of the information you provided us. We look forward to seeing you soon as we are looking to purchase a male companion for Dixie. Again Thanks! Bobbi

Hello, we saw you at the 2001 Sands Country Christmas in Las Vegas. Will you be there again this year or possibly in the Phoenix, Arizona area this year? We love the sugar gliders and are saving up money to get two including a cage, etc. We have a couple questions. Who do you take them to when they get sick? How do you know when they are sick? Do they make alot of noise? If we bought 2 and there are 3 of us in our family, will they bond to all 3 of us or just one person each? Thank you very much, Tracy.

Just wanted you all to know our gliders are doing great. They love their cage. We put all kinds of vines and branches inside that they swing on every night. Thanks for all your help and for being so available for questions.
