3-Level Cage Chinchilla Cage

$125.00

Description

This cage is 24”x24”x36” and is a three level cage. It is built of 1”x1/2” galvanized wire with ½”x1/2” wire for the shelves and ramps. The chinchilla lives on the savings in the deep dropping pan. For easy cleaning you just slide the dropping pan out, change the bedding, refill, and slide it back in. The pan is 4” deep and seals over the front opening tightly.

The front door is plenty large to install a dust bath or toys and the food bowls. The front door gives access to the lower and second level. Note that the second level is a mezzanine. It is a u-shaped level that the chinchilla can easily hop up on, or climb the ramp. The upper level however, is a solid wire level. The reason for this is that you don’t want your chinchilla to fall from this height. There is a second door on the top of the cage so that you can easily gain access to this upper level.

It is shown sitting on a 24” stand. Stands are optional, and the height can be built to suit your needs.

Also available is a set of litter guards. They normally extend 4” above the top of the pan. Other heights can be arranged at the time of your order.

Add a built-in hay rack to the front of the cage. Chinchillas need roughage, usually in the form of alfalfa hay. Our rack is built into the front of the cage, so you just push a handful of the hay into the rack via a hole in the outside of the cage. They pull and eat the hay through the wire rack, and most of the spillage occurs within the cage. They then can eat the spillage at their leisure.
